Successful people tweeted about their first seven jobs yesterday. Looking at the list reminded me of a thought shared by Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein.
Charles Darwin said: “It is not the smartest or most intelligent species that survive, but the species most adaptable to change.” And, life is changing all the time. Sometimes from bad to good, and vice versa.
Adapting to change is the ability to detach from conditions. It is becoming attached to the change itself.
This attachment brings out the winning quality: Persistence. The #1 success factor for change makers. Stay with the problem longer than others do, like Albert Einstein did.
“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”
